NBA LEGEND SPEAKS OUT PRAISE FOR DRAYMOND GREEN: “NO ONE CAN REACH HIM”

The Golden State Warriors are coming off a solid season that saw them turn things around after landing Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat at the trade deadline.

Of course, the Warriors paired Butler alongside their star duo of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, creating a new big three in The Bay after losing Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks in free agency last summer.

Their new star trio led Golden State to the second round of the playoffs where they were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves after an untimely injury to Curry in Game 1 that kept him out the remainder of the series.

Golden State is now looking to make a run at a championship next season, though their offseason has been an underwhelming one thus far as they continue to deal with the situation surrounding restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga.

Dwyane Wade has high praise for Draymond Green

Despite this, the Warriors still have their new star trio leading the way and before the start of the season, NBA legend Dwyane Wade had high praise for Green regarding his impact on the court throughout his NBA career.

“I just think if someone wants to argue about Draymond’s individual ranking, they just want to argue,” Wade said. “That’s just a person who want to hear their voice and want to argue. Like Draymond Green’s career will not be talked about him as an individual player. It would be talked about him as a winner, as a team player, as a leader, all these things.”

Wade makes a great point about how Green’s career will be talked about how he was a proven winner and leader despite him facing tons of criticism each season for some things that he does on the court.

Of course, Green plays with a competitive edge that has resulted in him being suspended and fined throughout his career but there is no doubt that he is one of the most impactful players in the NBA and a crucial part of Golden State’s roster.

Over his 13 seasons in the NBA, Green has helped lead the Warriors to four championships and was also named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 and finished third in the award race last season.

While Green may not be the most likeable player in the NBA due to his antics, there is no taking away from what the veteran forward has accomplished already and still brings to the Warriors’ roster as he enters his 14th season in the NBA.
