LeBron James’ NFL Picks: Eagles-Chiefs for Super Bowl LX, Lamar Jackson MVP, Browns Sleeper
With the training camp still a month away, LeBron James will enjoy every minute of rest heading into what could be the most physically demanding season for him. Not only is James still playing in the NBA at 40, he’s doing so at the highest level, eyeing his fifth NBA Championship.
While James’ historic 23rd season in the league is set to kick off in October, fans will have the NFL to entertain them in the meantime, with the season just a week away. And if you trust James’ football analysis as much as his basketball skills, we could be in for a Super Bowl rematch.
Who Does LeBron James Back for the 2026 NFL Title?
Speaking to the DraftKings SportBook, James revealed his predictions for Super Bowl LX, which is scheduled to be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, next year. While the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens have emerged as favorites to win the Vince Lombardi trophy in California, James believes a Super Bowl rematch is in order.
“I’m going Eagles Chiefs again, man. I mean, you got the best two teams, you got the best player in the whole NFL in Pat Mahomes, and I think he wants some get back,” said James.

Mahomes will undoubtedly be in the MVP conversation this season as well, and the three-time Super Bowl champion’s loss at Super Bowl LIX earlier this year will surely have him fired up. While James believes this could be a leading factor in the Kansas City Chiefs’ return to the Super Bowl, he remains unsure if the Chiefs could exact revenge on the Philadelphia Eagles.
“Nah, I got no winner right now,” said James. “But I hope it’s a good a** game. I’ll tell you that.”
James also shared his pick for the Most Valuable Player award as well as his sleeper pick for the season. And while the 21-time All-Star is no stranger to Mahomes’ caliber, he still believes the MVP this season will come from Baltimore.
“This year, I’m taking Lamar Jackson,” he said. Lamar Jackson was a frontrunner in the MVP conversation last season, but eventually lost out to Josh Allen. Many fans around the league believed Jackson was unjustly denied his third MVP award; however, James believes Jackson will be back for the trophy this season.
The Los Angeles Laker star also boasted his “ball knowledge” on the NFL as he shared his sleeper pick. James claimed he was right about the Washington Commanders being a sleeper pick last year, but believes they’re too good to be one this year.
This season, James has his hometown favorites, the Cleveland Browns, as the team to watch out for. However, with the Browns in the middle of a rebuild, the prediction appears more hopeful. Whether or not James gets it right again, we can only tell in February. But in the meantime, we can enjoy the thrilling action of the NFL, with kickoff barely a week away.
