The Los Angeles Lakers have been working hard during the offseason, adding talent like Marcus Smart and Deandre Ayton to the lineup.

Are more changes and additions right around the corner for LA?

According to Sean Deveney, that may not be the case.

His reporting, via Legion Hoops, says that the Lakers are currently “opting to keep” Gabe Vincent and Jarred Vanderbilt, despite trade interest from other teams.

Which teams want Vincent and Vanderbilt, and how much are they offering?

That isn’t known, but it’s obvious that other squads are intrigued by these two players, even if the Lakers aren’t moving them.

Both Vincent and Vanderbilt just finished their second full seasons with the Lakers.

In 2024-25, Vincent averaged 6.4 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists on 40.0 percent from the floor.

As for Vanderbilt, he put up 4.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists on 48.8 percent.

Neither of these players are starters, at least not right now, but they can provide proven experience and help from the bench.

Vincent has suffered from inconsistency, while injuries have been a problem for Vanderbilt.

There are question marks about how often they can play and how productive they can be.

For some, that makes this news somewhat surprising.

Why are other teams interested in Vincent and Vanderbilt if they aren’t reaching their full potential in Los Angeles?

And why are the Lakers holding onto them so fiercely?

Are the Lakers playing hardball, or do they really have a plan for Vincent and Vanderbilt?

How many minutes will these two get on the court in the new season, and which teams will they play for?
