BREAKING: Ty Lue Has Just Two Words on Nikola Jokic Plans Before Clippers’ Game 5 Against Nuggets

The NBA Playoff series between the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets has been one of the more exciting of the first round.

Denver went into Game 4 shorthanded, as Russell Westbrook was sidelined with an injury.

Even without him, the Nuggets were up big against the Clippers in Game 4, but the Clippers were able to cut into the lead and even tie the game with eight seconds left on a tip-in from Ivica Zubac.

Ty Lue issues two-word statement on how to guard Nikola Jokic

Everyone in the arena knew that Nikola Jokic would get the ball on the last possession.

He caught the ball, dribbled toward the three-point line and took a double-covered fading jump shot.

It was off the mark, but Aaron Gordon had worked his way into position to make a play on the miss, catching it and slamming it in as the clock hit zero.

There was a lengthy review involved, but the basket was deemed good to give the Nuggets the win and tie the series at two.

Jokic finished with 36 points, 21 rebounds and eight assists.

While Zubac can match up with Jokic physically, guarding him is a different story. The footwork Jokic displays is like none other. He’s now averaging a triple-double for the series.

When asked about how to guard Jokic, Tyronn Lue kept his message simple.

“We’ll see,” said Lue.

The Nuggets still haven’t had a legendary Jokic game, so heading back to Denver with the series tied at two is a great situation for them.

It remains to be seen whether Westbrook will be healthy enough to play in Game 5. He’s been a driver of this team’s success with the energy he brings off the bench, particularly on the offensive glass.

Game 5 will take place on a loaded Tuesday night that has three other playoff games going.
