BREAKING: Warriors Linked to $41 Million Big Man in Sign-and-Trade Idea Involving Kuminga
The Golden State Warriors proved last season that they aren’t far away from contention in a super competitive Western Conference.
Stephen Curry, like his generational counterpart LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, has a game and bill of health that have each aged impeccably. New addition Jimmy Butler, for whom the Warriors traded ahead of last season’s deadline, is clearly a No. 2 star on a contender at this point but also a perfect fit alongside Curry. And Draymond Green remains one of the best defenders in the NBA.
Golden State fought its way into the second round of the playoffs this year and could have potentially gone further were it not for a hamstring injury to Curry in the first game of the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Warriors most likely have a two-year contention window remaining and are expected to be as aggressive as the salary cap allows this summer in terms of either free agency or the trade market.

One of Golden State’s top needs is length on the interior, preferably in the form of player who can protect the rim and add outside shooting to lineups that were short of it — namely with Butler and Green on the floor together.
Myles Turner, 29, of the Indiana Pacers is bound for the open market on June 30 and checks all of the Warriors’ boxes.
“Turner would be all-caps AWESOME on this team. Coach Steve Kerr might coax even more three-point splashes out of the big fella,” Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report wrote on Wednesday, June 25. “The challenge would be getting Turner to Golden State, as the Warriors don’t have the flexibility to sign him outright. If he decides he wants to join the Dubs, though, maybe there’s a sign-and-trade agreement to be worked out involving restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga.”
Turner is coming off of a two-year contract worth $41 million in Indiana and will probably seek an even more lucrative deal moving forward.
