Steve Kerr’s son, Nick Kerr, has been called up from the Santa Cruz Warriors G-League team to join the Golden State Warriors as an assistant coach.
The Golden State Warriors have promoted Steve Kerr’s son, Nick Kerr, to join the team’s staff as an assistant coach.
Nick Kerr spent the last two seasons as head coach of the Warriors’ G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, leading the team to a fourth-place finish in the Western Conference both years.

He has previous experience with the main NBA team as well, having worked as an assistant and head video coordinator, as well as a player development coach, from 2018 to 2021.
Steve Kerr has been the head coach of the Warriors since the 2014–15 season and has guided the team to four NBA championships.
This season, the Warriors finished the regular season as the 7th seed in the Western Conference with a 48-34 record. They advanced to the second round of the playoffs but were eliminated 4-1 by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
